Interestingly, the Turners’ pest control journey began with a unique twist. Before venturing into pest management, they founded Minibeast Enterprises, breeding crickets, cockroaches, spiders, and more for the pet trade. This hands-on experience with insects gave Jay an intimate understanding of their biology, which eventually inspired his transition to pest control after a serendipitous encounter with a local pest control professional.

Jay excelled in his Certificate III in Urban Pest Management, setting a record for the highest score ever achieved. His expertise earned him a teaching role, sharing his skills and knowledge across the industry. After years with major pest control companies, Jay and Nicky recognised the need for a more personal, family-oriented service—leading to the creation of Laguna Pest Control.
